1. Hood canopies shall extend at least 6” horizontally on all open sides beyond the edge of the top horizontal surface of the appliances (i.e. the pizza ovens)under the hood. Reference: Section 507.1.6.1, IMC 2024.
2. Revise detail A1/M501 to show how the new Type I hood is supported from the building structure. Reference: Sections 302.1 and 507.2.4, IMC 2024.
3. The mechanical plan, M102, shows two high velocity diffusers located in close proximity to the ends of the Type I hood. Verify that the location and type of air outlets complies with the hood manufacturer’s installation instructions and does not reduce the effectiveness of the exhaust system. Reference: Sections 304.1 and 508.1, IMC 2024.
