New continuous foundation. b. New walls within existing walls. c. New roof I-joist d. New 3 ply roofing e. Replace windows f. Infilling existing door g. New front entry door h. New concrete slab and compacted ABC i. New interior wall? 1. Please confirm is all interior walls are new. 2. Are there any existing interior walls? 2. PERMIT DESCRIPTION IS: “Interior TI of current office, as a result of fire damage. No change in use.” a. This is more than Interior TI b. HISTORIC a. This structure was built in 1937. b. This project will have to go through our Historic review. 1. I have added Historic as part of the review. 3. CODE ANALYSIS IS PROVIDED a. Is this going to be a new tenant? b. Code analysis points to wanting a new certificate of occupancy. a. Please respond with an affirmative should a new c of o is requested. 4. DETAIL 7 SHEET D1 a. Provide a detail drawing that includes illustration of: a. Cant strip b. Counter flashing between existing parapet and new roof effectively making it water tight. 5. HVAC a. Provide cub detail at HVAC. b. Illustrate the additional structural support being added as a result of the HVAC installation. a. Framing Keynote #4 on Sheet S2 6. SCUPPER a. Provide detail drawing illustrating the scuppers and overflow integrating to the new roof. 7. HOLD-DOWN a. General Framing Note #1 Sheet S2 a. Please identify and label the shear wall location. b. No hold-down identified on the drawings. 1. Please locate and label the hold-downs. 8. FOUNDATION KEYNOTES #2 a. New 4” inch slab over vapor barrier over existing slab. a. Detail #1 Foundation Detail Sheet D1 1. Detail shows new 4” concrete slab. a. However, it shows compacted ABC and now existing slab. 2. Detail #1 does not indicate the depth of the new footing. a. Please show this dimension. b. It shall be minimum 12 inches from surface of native soil to the bottom of the new footing. 3. Keynote #3 calls for a joint filler. a. Please show this in your detail #1 Foundation detail sheet D1. b. Actually, Foundation Keynote #5 calls for 1’-6”a minimum. Please illustrate and include this within detail #1 Foundation detail sheet D1. c. Provide an enlarged detail drawing illustrating how this filler works. 9. SPECIAL INSPECTIONS a. Epoxy is proposed at dowels between new foundation and existing foundation. a. Special inspections shall be required. b. In your Cover Sheet/Front Page, please list the special inspections required for this project IBC 107.2.1 For example, Post installed anchors. c. Please provide a special inspection certificate with Part A, and Part B completed with next submittal.
