This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC), 2012 Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC). The calculations provided are not correct and don’t meet the requirements of the OLC. The provided calculations don’t have the correct numbers of fixtures, only shows 3 different fixtures, and does not distinguish between Full-cutoff and Unshielded lumens, See sheet E004, E005, and E007. The fixtures listed on the calculations sheet also do not correspond to the electrical sheets and fixture schedule. 7 – A1 8 – G (LED light strip, unshielded, max lumens pre fixture 3000.) 8 – F 4 – L 20 – parking lot poll lights, that do not appear to be shown on the light fixture schedule. >> Provide an outdoor lighting calculation that lists all the actual fixtures to be installed. Lumens per acre shown is incorrect and should be 175,000, not 177,000. Maximum unshielded lumens per acre is 11,000. The currently adopted Outdoor Lighting Code is 2012, not 2024. b. Provide an outdoor site lighting plan that meets the requirements of OLC 104.2. Show/locate the different light sources on your site plan. Number the light fixtures on your lighting fixture table and use the same number on your site plan. This will require all exterior lights to be shown on the site exterior lighting plan, including site and parking lot lights. c. List the Lighting Area per OLC (typically E3) chapter 3 and used in Table 401.1. Specify the compliance option from Table 401.1 that is being used. Total outdoor light output shall not exceed the lumen limits listed in Table 401.1. d. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 104.2.1, 401.2. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations. List shielded and unshielded lights in the calculation. e. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4. f. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1. g. Provide the manufacturer’s specification sheets for the outdoor lighting fixtures. Include the lumen and color temperature values for each outdoor fixture type. h.
