GENERAL - FIRM REGISTRATION: Per the Arizona Revised Statutes, Chapter 32, Rule 141, a firm shall not engage in the practice of any board-regulated profession or occupation unless the firm is registered with the board”. The construction documents must indicate the name and registration number of the engineering firm by which the signing engineer is employed. Please update the construction documents to comply with this provision. Refer to the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration (https://btr.az.gov/public/registered-firm-branch-search) for more information. 4. CURRENT CODE: The currently adopted building code for the City of Tucson is the 2018 International Building Code and its auxiliary codes. Please update the structural drawings to comply with the 2016 version of ASCE 7. 5. STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS - SEISMIC DESIGN CATEGORY: The structural general notes, ED1.2, do not match the seismic design information on Page 2 of 43 of the structural calculation package. The general notes indicate that this project is classified as seismic design category D, while the calculations include the lines, "The attached data and analysis is valid for projects in Seismic Design Category A and B", and "The seismic design parameters for the worst case seismic loads for Seismic Design Category C were used to calculate seismic loads for this project". Further, the spectral accelerations, Ss and Sds are inconsistent between the general notes and the calculations.
