02/20/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. The replacement of a lavatory in a public restroom will result in the lavatory requiring the installation of a metering faucet. Faucets serving lavatories in all buildings other than R3 occupancies, individual units in R2 occupancies, or International Residential Code structures shall be automatic faucets dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per cycle. The cycle time shall not be less than ten-seconds for accessibility. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
2. Provide tempered water for the lavatories in restrooms using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 419.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018.
3. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018 (e.g. 24” for a ½” HW supply).
