Provide Structural Calculations for Foundations, Columns and Roof Framing per Section 1601.1 of International Building Code 2018. 2. Provide Wind Load Calculations for the Building per Section 1609 of International Building Code 2018. 3. Provide Seismic Calculations for the Building per Section 1613 of International Building Code 2018. 4. All Calculations shall be sealed and signed by Professional Engineer registered with State of Arizona per Section 107.1 of International Building Code 2018. 5. Provide Geotechnical Report for the proposed building per International Building Code 2018, Section 1803.1. 6. The City of Tucson adopted International Building Code 2018. The information provided is incorrect on the Structural Calculations submitted. The Enercalc print outs submitted shows IBC 2012 and ASCE 7-10. Revise calculations per latest codes and resubmit. 7. Refer to Structural Calculations page 64, the member MAL-4 (W8x15) is failing in deflection. Revise the size. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Sheet A0.02: The occupant load calculations provided are incomplete and incorrect. The building code does not base the requirements for occupant load calculations on perspective employees on shift. Several of living spaces have not been included in the calculations. A space by space occupant location is required. Provide an accurate and complete occupant load calculation in accordance with Section 1004.3 and Tale 1004.5. 2. Sheet A3.01: The doors of the dorms are not rated properly. Provide properly rated doors in accordance with Section 716 and Table 716.1(2). 3. Sheet A3.21: The furniture plan proposed on this sheet should also be included on the egress plans to ensure proper egress widths, egress components etc. 4. Sheet A4.05: This sheet appears to be corrupted. Provide an a legible sheet for review. 5. Sheet A5.01: There is an insufficient amount egress illumination. Provide additional egress illumination in accordance with Section 1008. 6. Sheet A5.01: There is an insufficient amount exit signage. Provide additional exit signage in accordance with Section 1013. 7. Sheet A5.02: It appears that this sheet is corrupted. Provide a legible sheet for review. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide smoke dampers at each point a duct penetrates a corridor wall sheet M2.01 (IMC2015,607.5.4) 2. Provide 120 cfm of exhaust to each of the toilet/shower room's #135,134,130 &129 sheet M2.01 (IMC2018,403.3.1.1) 3. Apparatus Bay shall be ventilated at .05 cfm continuously and either operate at all times at .75 cfm per square foot or provide automatic operation with CO and NO2 detectors set at 12 and 3 PPM respectively to operate at .75 per square foot upon activation of detectors sheet M3.01 (IMC2018,404.1) 4. Show how you are bringing make up air when the exhaust fan for the kitchen hood is operating it must be interlocked with make up air at approximately the same air flow which is 1000 cfm's please be clear sheet M6.03 (IMC2018,508.1 ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Conditionally Approved E2.1 LIGHTING PLAN: No description for Keynote #20 by SES panel. E3.2 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT POWER PLAN: Some equipment shows two disconnects and 2nd disconnect does not have any circuit information. Should clarify with explanation or remove where not required. E4.2 DISPATCH SYSTEM PLAN: Could not locate Fire Dispatch Key Note C. PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied First Plumbing Review: 1). Need to address Building Plan Review Comment #1 - IPC 403.1 2). Trench drain piping system on plan page P3.2 needs at least 1 vent. -IPC 901.2., 915 3). Gas Dryers on plan page P2.2 need make-up air method detailed. -IFGC 304 4). Gas Radiant heaters on plan page P2.2 need their exhaust & combustion air methods illustrated. -IFGC 304, 503.1 5). Is Gas BBQ on plan page P2.2 located beneath over hang, roof, or any type of over-head construction? if yes will need hood. -IFGC 305.1 6). S2 sink on plan pages P2.1 & P3.2 needs to discharge thru an grease interceptor -IPC 1003.1 7). Both washers on plan pages P2.1 & P3.2 need to discharge thru a lint interceptor- IPC 1003.6 8). 03/06/2023 | Fire New Construction | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Sheet A0.01 shall be changed to read that the occupancy is a R-3 and not an R-2 Deferred submittals on sheet A0.01 shall have the following added: Fire sprinkler underground plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD Fire sprinkler plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD Fire alarm plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD Kitchen fire suppression plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD Fire alarm system as shown on E4.3 is not required. Only a dedicated function fire alarm is required. If choosing to install a fire alarm as designed keep the E4.3, however, if not installing the fire alarm as it is not required remove sheet E4.3 from the package. Fire Protection sheets FP1.0-FP4.0 are not required and if the system is not designed to that specification, it would be in conflict with the approved plans. Recommend removing those sheets from the building plan set.
