Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Date: 6/20/24 1. Acknowledged the changes made to the plans, thank you. This is helpful information. 2. Staff learned the construction plan set was not reviewed by structural, as needed, for this type of work, and no development package was required (lack of site changes other than relocating these structures). As such, under the circumstances, the appropriate route for review, inspections and fees purposes is to continue under a sign permit package review. The electrical approval will transfer over to the sign permit package. The same plans may be utilized for part of the package, with the permission of Kimley-Horn. Additional information is needed. 2. To proceed: A) Per discussion with structural review, who also needs to see the sign package, staff opened a sign permit for you under the same applicant information, permit TS-PRM-0624-00285 As your email is on this application, you will have immediate access to it on your portal dashboard to upload information to. B) retain a licensed Arizona Sign Contractor and add them as the contractor type of contact to the sign permit (required for permit issuance) C) add the Kimley-Horn contact you're working with as the architect of record on the sign permit D) Please obtain engineered plans and calculations for the canopy station support system, drive thru clearance bar support and menu station support. The local sign contractors submitting various Starbucks signage packages have received engineering for these very structures, and can provide direction to you to assist you. Upload all plans and the sign permit application signed by the local sign contractor to the new sign permit: TS-PRM-0624-00285. 3. Email me (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) and Justin.Eder@tucsonaz.gov (structural reviewer) when the items have been uploaded, and we will review the materials promptly. Staff sincerely apologizes for any confusion with this submission package. Please be assured that staff will assist and guide promptly under the sign package process. Going forward in the future, submit all drive - thru sign relocations only as sign permit packages. (Development packages may be required only should a drive thru configuration be altered, or other site conditions require altering as a result of the project.) |
