The Building Official will make the final determination. This appeal requests a reduction in the required number of restrooms from four (two for each sex) to two unisex restrooms. While the calculated occupant load is just under 270, the operational nature of this facility—combined with the provision of only 45 parking spaces—indicates that the actual occupant load will be significantly lower. The two proposed unisex restrooms provide sufficient capacity to serve more than 170 storage occupants as well as the seven business occupants. Given these conditions, the reduction to two unisex restrooms would appear to be adequate for this facility. |
