This appeal requests a reduction in the calculated outdoor occupant load and the amount of outdoor air required to be supplied by the HVAC system. In lieu of the prescriptive requirements, the applicant proposes project-specific occupant load calculations, together with the use of outdoor openings to account for additional outdoor air introduced into the building. Based on the engineering analysis provided, the proposed approach appears to be satisfactory in meeting the intent of the requirements. |
