Traffic Engineering Review REQUIRES RESUBMIT DTM Traffic Engineering
- Sheet 6: I think last typical section (Sta 604+) should be calling out as Alvernon Way, not Aeronautical Way
- Sheet 6: Is intent of 10 ft wide sidewalk to be for a multi-use path? This is not shown on Sheets 18 or 19
- Sheet 17: PM Notes 1,2,3,7 refer to PC standards. Should refer to COT standards. Note 2 should use 520-791-3154 phone number. Note 1 should refer to the PC/COT Signing and Pavement Marking Manual instead of old Pavement Marking Manual. https://webcms.pima.gov/UserFiles/Servers/Server_6/File/Government/Transportation/Roadway%20Design/FINAL-Pima-County_City-of-Tucson-Signing-and-Pavement-Marking-Manual-2020-First-Edition_linking_nocomments-12_21.pdf
- Sheet 17: Signing Notes 1 & 2 should refer to the PC/COT Signing and Pavement Marking Manual instead of old Signing Manual
- Signing Note 12 can be removed
- Signing Note 14: Delivery of salvaged signs should be coordinated with COT Sign Shop at 4004 S Park Ave (520-791-3154)
- Sheet 18: Left turn bay taper appears substandard. For 45 mph, should be T=W*S = 12*45 = 540 ft
- Sheet 18: Right turn bay taper looks good
- Sheet 18: Turn bay gaps and storage lengths appear to meet minimum requirements in PC/COT Signing and Pavement Marking Manual Appendix A
- Sheet 18: COT utilizes the YDS4-D40/D40 markings for the yellow separator stripe
- Sheet 19: COT street name signs refer to Signing and Marking Manual Std 6.1.6 (6.1.1 is PC)
- Sheet 19: W3-1 Stop Ahead sign could be moved closer to intersection per MUTCD Table 2C-4
- Sheet 19: Turn bay tapers, gaps, and storage lengths appear to meet minimum requirements in PC/COT Signing and Pavement Marking Manual Appendix A
Thank you,
Greg
Transportation Landscape Review REQUIRES RESUBMIT DTM Landscape
1. There are several native plants (saguaros and others) at the entrance on Alvernon, what is the plan for this vegetation as it looks like it will be demolished while upgrading the entrance with the new curb returns and drainage improvements?
Thanks,
David M.
