Condensate drains may not terminate at or over a plumbing vent. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 901.4, IPC 2018. 2. Revise the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted (i.e. all of the air supplied to each restroom is to be exhausted during the hours of operation even if the lights are off). Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018. 3. Per Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018, the occupant load for a dining area is 70 people per 1,000 square feet. Revise the occupancy load used for the dining area based on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018, or an approved engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018. 4. Coordinate the outside air provided by RTU-1 in note #2 of the Ventilation Compliance table (100 CFM) with the results of the Ventilation Compliance calculation (280 CFM), the Kitchen Air Balance table (80 CFM), and the BOH Air Balance table (200 CFM). Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 5. Show that the hood installation complies with Section 507.2.6, IMC 2018 with regard to a smooth, cleanable, non-absorbent, and non-combustible material installed between the hood and the wall behind the hood and extending 18” beyond the hood. 6. The mechanical plan shows a high velocity diffuser in close proximity to the face of the Type I hood. Verify that the location and type of air outlets complies with the hood manufacturer’s installation instructions and does not reduce the effectiveness of the exhaust system.
