12/13/2022 Commercial Mechanical REQUIRES RESUBMIT The current version of sheet P1.0 has deleted the exhaust fan that was included in previously approved plan set. The installation of the exhaust fan addressed the previous comment. [Previous comment: Spaces in which factory-built recirculating hoods tested in accordance with UL 710B are installed are considered to be kitchens and shall be ventilated per Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018. The minimum exhaust rate shall be 0.70 CFM per square foot, using a minimum area of 100 square feet for each individual cooking appliance (e.g. Unox oven and Turbo Chef oven). Reference: Section 507.1, exception 2, IMC 2018.]
12/13/2022 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT The current version of sheet P1.0 has been modified from the previously approved version. The following deficiencies shall be addressed and the drawings resubmitted.

1. Plumbing fixtures that receive or discharge liquid waste (e.g. hand sinks) shall be directly connected to the sanitary drainage system. Clarify the apparent contradiction of item 3 of the Plumbing Plan Notes and the Sanitary & Vent Riser Diagram. Reference: Section 301.3, IPC 2018.
2. Connect the discharge of the sump pump to the sanitary drain system as described in Section 712.3.5, IPC 2018, i.e. connect the sump discharge to the top of a horizontal branch drain located above the ceiling. As a gravity flow line, the horizontal drain does not require either a shut off valve or a check valve.
3. Provide a sump vent for the sump pump. Per the manufacturer, an air admittance valve cannot be used with the sump pump. Refer to the manufacturer’s installation instructions for further guidance. Reference: Section 906.5.1 and Table 906.5.1, IPC 2018.
