05/15/2023 Light Residential Building Review (OIP) REQUIRES RESUBMIT A. There are no structural design drawings and calculations for the canopy structure. Please submit a set of drawings as part of this submittal.
B. Depending on the height of this canopy structure, you may have to install the following:
PV ground mount enclosure NEC 110.31 Ground Mount PV enclosure using wall, screen, or fence to deter access by persons who are not qualified. Enclosure designed/constructed according to the degree of hazard associated with the installation.
Per section 110.27 of the NEC parts, including PV wires, shall be guarded against accidental contact via:
1.By permanent substantial partitions or screens where only qualified person have access. (Fence/wall with locked gate to prevent access to non qualified person)
2.By installing in raceway.(This would include approved other type of shielding of the wires against contact.)
Per section 690.33(B) the connectors shall be constructed and installed so as to guard against inadvertent contact with live parts by person.
Per section 690.30(A) Where photovoltaic source and output circuits operating at maximum system voltages greater than 30 volts are installed in ready accessible locations, circuit conductors shall be installed in raceway.
C. Please submit along with your structural drawing and calculation the uplift calculation using the 115 mph wind gust.
D. Please resubmit.
