Tucson Water’s New Development Section offers the following comments for your convenience.

1. The New Development Section has no developer financed projects in this area that may affect or be affected by this Capital Improvement Project.

2. Sheet 3: The 16” reclaimed water main just outside of the SW corner of APN 13208007E is not private water main. Delete PVT from the label

3. Sheets 3,7 & 10: The reclaimed water transmission and distribution mains have been shown on this sheet with a line-type that inappropriately implies they are potable water mains. The reclaimed water mains and the potable water mains must be shown using different line types. Please show potable water mains and the reclaimed water transmission and distribution mains, as indicated on Sheet 3 of XX of Tucson Water’s Design Standard Illustration -2023.

4. Sheet 10: Show the existing 2” irrigation water meters that currently serves this park

5. Sheet 10: Show how all of the proposed irrigation lines are to be connected to the 2” irrigation water meters that currently serves this park and/or to new irrigation water meters on the reclaimed water distribution lines (reclaimed water mains that are 12” or less in diameter).

Note 1: No new irrigation water meters may be connected directly to the existing 16” reclaimed water transmission main. A new irrigation meter may be connected to the existing 6” reclaimed water distribution main on the site.

Note 2: If any of the new irrigation water lines are to be connected to existing irrigation water lines, the existing irrigation water lines must be shown on Sheets 9 & 10

6. Sheet 10: This sheet currently shows many new irrigation lines being constructed in very close proximity to the existing 16” reclaimed water transmission main. No new irrigation lines should be constructed within 10’ of the existing 16” reclaimed water transmission main, as measured from outside-of-pipe to outside-of-pipe.

TW Planning and Engineering Review REVIEW COMPLETED It is observed that landscaping is proposed to be installed on the far west side on or near an existing 16in reclaim water line. Per Tucson Water Design Standards 8-08 page 21 of 21, which discusses landscaping cannot be placed within 5 or 10 feet for plantings/trees with small or large root-balls (respectively). If this cannot be met the contractor is uncover the existing water line (16 in PVC in this case - plan no 301-1996) and polyethylene sheet wrap according to this standard 8-08;4.3B
