Tucson Water has the following comments about the 90% plan set:

1. All Sheets: Please number all sheets as Sheet n of 108 in addition to the current sheet numbering.

2. Sheet G0-01: Please show and describe all symbols and linetypes used in the drawings on G0-01 or change the title of sheet to General Notes and Abbreviations. Also, please add the abbreviations for potable water and reclaimed water to the list of abbreviations. (See the following comment for Tucson Water’s recommended abbreviations for potable water and reclaimed water.

3. All Sheets: Assuming that all irrigation within the project area will be done using reclaimed water, there will be private reclaimed water lines and private potable water lines in the project area. The symbols and line-types for water lines and water meters shown in the drawings must clearly indicate whether each water line/water meter distributes reclaimed water or potable water to prevent inappropriate cross connections. Tucson Water strongly recommends that all water lines/water meters distributing reclaimed water be labeled “R” and the letter “W” be reserved for those water lines/water meters distributing potable water.

Note: Should the private plumbing reviewer want reclaimed water lines and potable water lines labeled differently, please follow the private plumbing reviewer’s guidance.

4. Sheet V0-01 and V0-01: There are water lines/water meters shown in the drawings and legends on these sheets labeled with the letter “W” that are connected to irrigation lines. Verify that these water lines/water meters will be distributing potable water. If not, label them with the letter “R”.

5. Sheets C1-03A and C1-04A: Specify whether a reclaimed water or a potable water line will be installed within the very thin limit of work for the water main utility trenching.

6. Sheets C1-03A and C1-04A: Verify all arrows are pointing to the correct features and re-adjust the overlapping labels as necessary so that they do not overlap.

7. Sheet C1-03B: Specify whether the valves and meter boxes to be removed and provided to Parks maintenance staff are in a reclaimed water or a potable water line.

8. Sheet C1-04B: Verify all arrows are pointing to the correct features and re-adjust overlapping labels as necessary

9. Sheet C4-01: Specify whether the existing irrigation mainline is distributing reclaimed water or potable water. Also specify whether the new irrigation point of connection is to a source of reclaimed water or a source of potable water.

10. Sheets C7-03, C7-04 and : Sheet C7-10: These sheets use the term “domestic water”. Clarify whether this means reclaimed water or potable water.

11. Sheet C7-04: This sheet shows a 3” PVC domestic water line connecting to an existing valve and water meter at the north end of a solar canopy. Please be aware that Tucson Water’s GIS system and valve maps do not show an existing potable water meter at this location. They do show an existing 12” reclaimed water main in this area, however, and Google Earth StreetView photos show a water meter that appears to be connected to this reclaimed water main. Please verify that the existing water meter shown on this sheet is distributing potable water.

Water - PDSD REVIEW COMPLETED Verify that the source of water is potable, not reclaimed. Use the label “W” only for potable water; reclaimed water can be labeled with “R” so there is no confusion.
