03/31/2015 COT - Fire - Complaint Completed FCI expressed concern that apt. smoke alarms did not activate during a recent food on a stove fire apt. # 420. Fire happened around 4/11. Would like an inspector to follow up to ensure smoke alarms being tested (logged?) and encourage mgmt to consider dual battery/hard wire detectors when they replace the smoke alarms. Also share information with mgmt forwarded in an email.

3/27/15 - SPoke with onsite asst manager. She states they test smoke detectors yearly or when requested. SHe also states smoke detectors are only battery operated. I will be back next week to speak with manager and maintance rep, and have since emailed a smoke detector log for them to start with.

3/31/15 - Spoke with Suzi who is manager of complex. SMoke detectors are tested annulally and upon any other maintenece done at apartment. A copy is kept onsite. Apartment with the fire had a working smoke detector upon resident moving in which was a few weeks prior. Suzi stated she was unsure why it did not work, or if resident disconnected it. Brochures were given, and they are conducting more testing of smoke detectors at this complex.
07/24/2019 COT - FOPR - Fire General Inspection Completed 7/24/19 NT - Noticed locked exit gates that exceed the distance from any opening, with no ability for fire apparatus to turn around. Met with manager and did inspection.
08/18/2020 COT - FCOD - Fire Re-inspection Completed 8/18/20 NT - All items completed, file closed.
