PER INSPECTOR JOHN VINCENT MEMO HE FEELS COMFORTABLE ALLOWING EAST COAST SUPER SUBS TO COVER THEIR ENTIRE CEILING WITH SPORT JERSEYS AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT HANGING AND TREATED WITH FLAME RETARDANT. DECISION OF THE FIRE CODE OFFICIAL: Approved with stipulations. 1. The combustible decorations displayed on the ceiling shall be treated with fire retardant material per NFPA 701. The decorations shall be maintained fire retardant and retreated as necessary. 2. All combustible decorations shall be affixed flat to the ceiling. Decorations shall not hang vertically from the ceiling, except the hats. Even treated, the vertically hanging material does not meet the flame propagation performance criteria of NFPA 701.
