the owners are taking over an existing restaurant bldg and remodeling to different rest. type. They are proposing a 427 sq covered patio addition that will be separted from existing bldg by 2 hr fire rated assembly/ doors (this eliminates over 100 occupany rating related to fire sprinkler requirement for occupany over 100).

STATE SPECIFICALLY WHAT IS PROPOSED IN LIEU OF LITERAL COMPLIANCE.
The Applicant is requesting release from requirement for new fire hydrant. Not noted on 12/07/2009 review (1st), but noted on 01/06/10 review (2nd) by Dave Mann. Existing restaurant was in use for many years with similar hydrant location, which is 400 ft away +/- with full hose/bldg. coverage (note distance to sect of bldg from hydrant is 265 ft +/-.
