07/24/2009 INSP - FULL RDUARTE Approved Petition of Appeal to the Fire Code Official requesting an extension of time to correct sprinkler deficiencies.

Explain: Deficiencies are not affecting the operational capabilities of the sprinkler system and would be an added expense at this time.

WHAT IS PROPOSED: During the next phase of bldg renovation the fire protection system is to be extended to include all areas and deficiencies will be addressed at that time. The areas not afforded fire protection will be treated as an unoccupied construction zone. Since the next phase of construction has recently bid and a contract will be signed shortly, the sprinkler submittals will be made within 90 days and work completed within 6 months.

DECISION: Appeal is approved with stipulations: Work to be completed within 6 months per Chief Dan Uthe, Fire Code Official.
