The proposal is to build an attached garage (480 sq. ft.) at the rear of the contributing building facing East 1st Street, along with a new concrete driveway. A 77 sq. ft. addition will connect the existing residence to the proposed garage and will serve as a laundry room. The proposed North setback of 1’ 4” will require a variance. The addition and garage roofs will have shingles to match the existing residence. The garage and addition exterior walls will be clad in stucco. New and replacement windows will match existing lite patterns using simulated divided lites (or grilles between the glass) and will be double-hung wood clad and inset and recessed to match existing window patterns. Existing porch steps are to be removed and replaced with concrete steps. The project also includes a new picket fence above the existing North wall and new 16” columns at the front gate entrance.
