Permit Details
Apply Date:
10/05/2025
Applicant:
Chris Smith
Description:
3/17/25: Civil citation 0010826 was issued after somebody reported a damaged sidewalk at 262 North Main. A licensed, bonded contractor repaired the sidewalk in April 2025 by grinding down the sidewalk where it was elevated. (I have photos showing that method has been used over 20 times within a 2 block radius of the sidewalk in question, including along the parking lot next to Tucson Water.) At the 8/4/25 hearing, Magistrate Semon heard remarks by me and a City of Tucson inspector who had seen the repairs, and noted, "Both parties agree [the sidewalk] does not appear to be a hazard." I spoke with multiple people at the City on 8/5/25 about how to get a permit. Anna in Customer Service & Records sent on email on 8/5/25 asking the ROW team [right of way team?] to contact me. I didn't hear from anybody so I followed up on 10/1/25 and received a response from Lucy Inzunza on 10/3/25.
