Roger Road: Romero Road to Oracle Road Pedestrian Safety and Walkability Improvements COT Job No. D144 COT Plan No. U-2019-015 This project consists of improvements to provide pedestrian safety and walkability. The construction of the proposed improvements will integrate new sidewalk to connect to the existing sidewalk sections along both sides of Roger Road between Romero Road and Oracle Road. This will provide a continuous pedestrian facility along this segment of roadway and will improve pedestrian access to the three major intersections at Romero Road, Fairview Road, and Flowing Wells Road. Further improvements include the addition of two Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFB) and the addition of new ADA curbed ramps. The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for these improvements. The work also includes, but is not limited to, construction of speed humps, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, curb access ramps, concrete driveway aprons, pavement markings and signing, landscaping improvements including water harvesting basins, and other related incidental work as shown on City of Tucson Plan No. U-2019-015. The regular working hours for this project will be from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
