Permit Description: I am requesting a permit so that I may install a safe and durable solar power system. The goal of this improvement is to increase energy security by producing sufficient electrical energy to power this residence at a fixed cost for an extended period. I will be installing 24 roof-mounted 405-watt PV panels, a DC combiner box, a critical loads off-grid breaker panel, make enhancements to the main on-grid breaker panel, a 15 KW hybrid inverter charger, and 20kw of lithium battery storage. I would like to draw from the grid as a backup for days when insufficient power is banked from the available panels and export to the grid when I have and excess supply.
