We want to convert existing garage building to an apartments, we started demolition due existing roof was leaking . The garage was used as storage we cleaned the space and demo the roof since was not reparable the way it was. We got a note of Violation from the Environmental and general services department seems like we need permits for this demolition . Please let me know if we need other documents besides of the plans attached to try to expedite this process since we are not able to build the roof again and all the stuff in that storage are going to be damage because are exposed to the weather . 01/14/2026 Contractor with active Arizona Contractor's License for specified scope of work, or a signed Owner Builder Affidavit is required prior to issuance of permit. The Affidavit form is available at https://www.tucsonaz.gov/Departments/Planning-Development-Services/Permits/Residential-Permits. Contractor or Owner must have a TDC Online account and be added to the permit as the correct contact type https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/2/pdsd/documents/tdc-faq/new-pdfs/adding-additional-contacts.pdf. If you are providing an Owner Builder Affidavit, the owner MUST be attached as a contact on the permit.
