07/17/2024 | TRSP - ROW - Final/Close-Out | N/A | Re-inspection required | |
07/18/2024 | ENGR Engineering Final | N/A | Partial Pass | 1) On the west side of this building there are 2 pipes or fittings that stick out of the building and the existing grade too far into the pedestrian pathway creating trip hazards. These will either need to be removed or cut. 2) Roof drainage needs clarification or correction. The correct drain locations must be determined for the Roof Drainage Pipes, and where it may need to be relocated so that it does not deposit water within the 10-year Storm directly onto a Pedestrian Pathway. The Canopy above the ramp that will deposit water directly onto the ramp which is not allowed per our City Codes. This area will need roof gutters to transport this water to an area where it can be released so that it does not deposit water directly onto the Pedestrian Pathways. 3) The handrail extensions have not been provided on the west end of the ramp, and the extensions have not been completed on the east side of the ramp per the Code Specification. The Code that we are utilizing is ICC A 117.1–2009, section 505.10.1 Top and Bottom Extension at Ramps. For this code, the wrap around extension should be 12 inches from the last supporting post to the inside of the outer wraparound. The wraparound itself should be continuous and be welded back into the supporting member at the very end of the handrail to complete the loops as shown per this detail in the Specifications. 4) The Landing at the bottom of the Ramp does not have the correct slope and grade, they exceed the maximum percent of 2% or less in all directions. Also, the Handrail on the southside of the Ramp has been extended approximately 5 feet to the east of the ramp due to a trip hazard in the adjacent area. This Modification will require that the landing now must be started from the end of the east rail extension for 60 inches to allow for the proper change of direction as required by the code. Coordination with Department of Transportation will be required to modify these areas to conform with ADA Requirements. |
07/18/2024 | COT - LCBU - Preslab | N/A | Not Ready | During the inspection, the following items were noted as being incorrect, and will need to be pleaded and approved prior to the final inspection of this permit. 1) On the west side of this building to trip hazards have been noticed in an area approximately 20 feet north of the south west corner of the building. These are pipes or fittings that stick out too far into the pedestrian pathway that need to either be removed or cut off low grade in buried. 2) A question has been raised about the roof drainage on this building at two different locations. One is at the north west corner of the building. The other is at the south east corner of this building 6 inch drain pipes are noted at ground level that appear to be drain pipes for the roof. If these are correct, they will be redirected. To another area for the Riddick drainage to be deposited outside of the pedestrian pathway. At both locations, there is above grade roof drainage opening that has deposited water directly onto pedestrian, pathways, and stairways. That will need to be redirected to a different location. Provide details and drawings of the changes that will be made to the roof drainage system for approval to the city of Tucson prior to any final inspections for the site. 3) on the ramp, the inspectors have noted that the extensions have not been provided on the west end of the ramp, according to current codes and standards, and the extensions have not been completed on the east side of the ramp to the specifications of the coats. The code that we are considering is ICC a 117.1–2009, section 505.10.1 top and bottom extension at reps. |
