07/26/2022 Floodplain Use Permit T22OT00530July 26, 2022 (No Elevation Certificate Required). The applicant is authorized to use a portion of the Special Flood Hazard Area (FEMA Zone X, Panel 2302L, MaGuire Wash estimated flood hazard area) in the City of Tucson at 8305 E Pima St for installing temporary erosion prevention measure in and around the wash that runs through the property. The applicant agrees to comply with City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard regulations, and is particularly bound by the conditions stated below. Violation of any of the conditions stated or referred to below, as determined by the City Engineer, shall be grounds for revocation of this permit. Responsibility for renewal of this permit, if necessary, is with the applicant. Issuance of this permit does not constitute a waiver of other requirements contained in the Tucson City Code, Land Use Code, or any other Federal, State, or local regulation. No use other than as permitted herein is allowed. Additional uses allowed under City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Regulations require the issuance of an additional Floodplain Use Permit.The following conditions shall apply to this permit:1. A grading plan for the clearing and grubbing done on site needs to be submitted within 6 months and will be part of this floodplain use permit.2. The top of wash banks be stabilized with telephone poles on site or other means to prevent sediment from entering the wash from the recent disturbance on the property. 3. Hay bales shall be placed and staked down in the wash every 50 feet to slow water down and prevent the movement of sediment within the wash. 4. The existing drainage patterns at the property lines shall not be obstructed or changed.5. Except as approved by the City Engineer prior to the start of construction, development under this permit shall not obstruct, retard or divert the existing flow of floodwaters from or to adjacent properties.6. This permit becomes invalid and is subject to additional floodplain review, if any required development permit (s') changes the configuration of the structure and or site development.7. Any future development of the site including walls to be constructed will require a separate Floodplain Use Permit.This Floodplain Use Permit will be automatically revoked and becomes invalid if conditions set forth in this permit are not complied with.
