| 11/17/2020 | TDOT-Routine Barricade Inspect | N/A | Continued | Spoke to Borderland Foreman Abel about confusing TC setup. Both lanes of travel are shifted into the west bound lane east of Park. Eastbound lane is closed. Eastbound traffic leaving the JTED site is faced with "NO LEFT TURN" signs at Park Ave. The only option is right turn only but there are no signs indicating that. In addition, eastbound traffic leaving JTED is aligned directly facing westbound traffic across Park so there is potential for drivers to confuse west bound Marketplace Drive as being split to accomodate eastbound travel on the east side of the intersection. Recommended adding a "RIGHT TURN ONLY" sign to east bound Marketplace Drive to clear up confusion. I had inspector Mike Bravin checked the site and he concurred and spoke with the contractor also. |
