Description:
The driveway was inspected by a COT ROW Inspector and it was determined that it is not in compliance with Standard Detail 206 of PAG Standard Specifications for Public Improvements. Since the driveway was constructed without an inspector present, there is not way to tell if the sub-grade was compacted properly and if the driveway is 6" thick. Furthermore, the property owner did not obtain a right of way permit, which is required when working in the CIty of Tucson Right of Way.
The inspectors recommendation is for the driveway/sidewalk to be removed and replaced. The homeowner needs to obtain the appropriate right of way permit and set up a pre-activity meeting with the ROW Inspector and follow the appropriate steps throughout the construction process.
DOUBLE FEE FOR BARRICADE AND TRIPLE FEE FOR EXCAVATOIN WILL BE APPLIED.
