1) REVISION TO ORIGINAL PERMIT RECEIVED ON 4/12/18. STAFF MET WITH CONTRACTOR. THIS REVIEW IS TO CLARIFY THE CONTRACTOR PERMITTED THE WEST FACING WALL SIGN FOR HOUGHTON FRONTAGE ON 4/10/18 UNDER PERMIT T18OT00384, AND REVISED THIS PERMIT TO SHOW JUST THE NORTH FACING WALL SIGN.

2) PER SIGN STANDARDS SECTION 7A.11.3 - THIS DEVELOPMENT IS SUBJECT TO SCENIC CORRIDOR ZONE DISTRICT, AS HOUGHTON ROAD IS A DESIGNATED SCENIC CORRIDOR PER THE CITY OF TUCSON MAJOR STREETS AND ROUTES MAP.

3) 7A.11.3.B.1. - SIGN AREA ALLOWANCE IS 1.25 X BUILDING FRONTAGE, HOWEVER, SIGNS MUST BE ORIENTED DOWARD A SCENIC ROUTE, ARTERIAL STREET, COLLECTOR STREET OR TO THE INTERIOR OF THE PREMISES. THE PROPOSED SIGN ON THE NORTH ELEVATION FACES MEADOW WILLOW TRAIL, A LOCAL STREET. THE CONTRACTOR HAS ELECTED, WITH WRITTEN PERMISSION OF THE CENTER'S LANDLORD, TO SEEK ALLOWANCE FOR THE 21 SQUARE FOOT ILLUMINATED WALL SIGN VIA REVIEW THROUGH THE SIGN DESIGN COMMITTEE PROCESS (SDRC) AS A SINGULAR SIGN DESIGN OPTION (SSDO). THE CONTRACTOR HAS SUBMITTED THE APPLICATION FOR THE SDRC AND PAYMENT TO PROCEED WITH THE SDRC REVIEW OF THIS REQUEST FOR BOTH SIGNAGE TO BE DISPLAYED FACING A LOCAL STREET, AND FOR THAT SIGN AREA TO BE CALCULATED OFF A LOCAL STREET.

are both illegal and were never permitted.



Also they are only allowed one sign on the West elevation.

They cannot have a sign on the North elevation.



The West elevation is only allowed a 30 sq ft sign

because it is on a Scenic Corridor}
