Description:
The proposed project seeks to develop the vacant parcels at the corner of S Stone Ave & 16th St. through the expansion of the Downtown Clifton Hotel. The proposed project is located within the Greater Infill Incentive Subdistrict (GIIS) of the Infill Incentive District (IID). Approved with conditions on March 8th, 2017. 1. The project shall return to the IID-Design Review Committee for major design changes. Minor design changes shall be reviewed by the Design Professional and approved pursuant to the Director's Decision approval process. 2. The submittal of a Ground Vibration Monitoring and Mitigation Study focused on the individually listed historic Velasco House, an unreinforced, unfired adobe building located at 475 North Stone Avenue immediately north of the project. The study will describe the vibration control methodology for unfired adobe structures during the construction phase and which should include the following three elements: 1) Project information and description of construction and engineering processes that will create the strongest vibrations; 2) Description of vibration monitoring and field procedures ensuring safe vibration levels applicable to unreinforced, unfired adobe buildings, and; 3) Mitigation techniques outlining the protocols should the vibration levels exceed safe standards.
