The maintenance and testing schedules and procedures for fire alarm and fire detection systems shall be in accordance with Sections 907.8.1 through 907.8.5 and NFPA 72. 1) You shall provide the fire inspector with a copy of your last annual Fire Alarm Inspection/Test report from a qualified service provider. No record was on site to prove such testing/inspections and maintenance have been performed within the last year. TFC 1008.1.9.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted. 1) You shall remove the surface mount bolt on doors in "one year old" room. TFC 903.4 SPRINKLER SYSTEM SUPERVISION AND ALARMS All valves controlling the water supply for sprinkler systems, pumps, tanks, water levels and temperatures, critical air pressures and water flow switches on all sprinkler systems shall be electrically supervised by a listed fire alarm control unit. 1) A lock out switch shall be placed on the circuit labeled Fire Bell Circuit. TFC 605.6 UNAPPROVED CONDITIONS Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. 1) Replace missing switch plate on the wall of the infant room. 304.1 Waste accumulation prohibited. Combustible waste material creating a fire hazard shall not be allowed to accumulate in buildings or structures or upon premises. 1) You shall remove the large amount of combustible waste and storage in the residence over the "One year old room". TFC 1030.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits and exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the building area served by the means of egress is occupied. An exit or exit passageway shall not be used for any purpose that interferes with a means of egress. 1) The East exit gate (exterior) is blocked by an old refrigerator. You shall maintain ALL EXITS FREE OF OBSTRUCTIONS at all times. 110.4 Abatement. The owner, operator or occupant of a building or premises deemed unsafe by the fire code official shall abate or cause to be abated or corrected such unsafe conditions either by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or other approved corrective action. 1) There is an old refrigerator on the exterior of building blocking the egress from an exit gate from the playground. You shall immediately secure the refrigerator from accidental entry and have refrigerator removed from the premises. |
