Tucson Water has approved the attached plan Zayo Fiber Solutions Downtown Music Hall 131 Granada Ave BPG Drawing E11568. Work Description: Zayo Group LLC proposes to trench and bore fiber optic conduits along Cushing St. and Granada Ave. The work will entail the crossing of several water mains. Tucson Water Review Findings: 1) It will be Zayo Group's and their contractor’s responsibility to avoid the water mains per City of Tucson/Pima County Standard Specifications for Public Improvements (5 foot horizontal and 1 foot vertical separation). Tucson water recommends potholing to ensure the standard is met. 2) The Tucson Water project data base number for future referencing of this project is 01554-6464. Summary & Recommendation: 1) Zayo Group is aware of Water facilities in the vicinity of the proposed work. 2) Zayo Group shall maintain Minimum Horizontal (5’) and Vertical (1’) separation requirements from Tucson Water facilities, as directed by the City of Tucson/Pima County Standard Specifications for Public Improvements. 3) Tucson Water will hold the contractor responsible for the cost of any water main repair and pavement replacement if the water utility is damaged during the directional bore construction. The contractor is to notify Tucson Water at 520-791-4133 in the event of a water main break. 4) Please approve the Right-of-Way permit application if this email from Tucson Water and the attached plan are included as instructions to the contractor.
