06/07/2012 June 7, 2012 The applicant is authorized to use a portion of the flood hazard area in the City of Tucson, Arizona, on the property described as3010 West Anklam Road and associated right of way and common area within and adjacent to Daystar Estates for the purpose of residential erosion protection and roadway embankment protection improvements. The applicant agrees to comply with City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard, and Watercourse Amenities, Safety and Habitat regulations, and is particularly bound by the conditions stated below. Violation of any of the conditions stated or referred to below, as determined by the City Engineer, shall be grounds for revocation of this permit. Responsibility for renewal of this permit, if necessary, is with the applicant. Issuance of this permit does not constitute a waiver of other requirements contained in the Tucson City Code, Land Use Code, or any other Federal, State, County, or local regulation. No use other than as permitted herein is allowed. Additional uses allowed under City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Regulations and Watercourse Amenities, Safety, and Habitat regulations require the issuance of an additional Floodplain Use Permit. The following 10 conditions apply to this permit: 1) All work shall conform to the approved Grading Plans (dated 3-2-04), and Drainage Report from RS Engineering with addenda (dated March 1, 2004), LMT Geotechnical Engineering Report and subsequent addenda (dated 12/2/02) which is made part of this permit. 2) All floodplain use permit conditions apply also to the associated grading plan T03BU02623. 3) Except as approved by the City Engineer prior to the start of construction, development under this permit shall not obstruct, retard or divert the existing flow of floodwaters from or to adjacent properties. There shall be no disturbance or stockpiling in the wash on the north side of the project, except for removal of portion of the existing 24" CMP pipe as shown on the approved DAYSTAR ESTATES GRADING PLANS. 4) See DAYSTAR ESTATES GRADING PLANS for extent of disturbance area. Construction of cut-off walls shall be from the south as shown on the approved plans. 5) This permit becomes invalid and is subject to additional floodplain review, if any required development permit changes the configuration of the structure and / or site development, or, if there is any further disturbance within the floodplain other than that outlined in the approved DAYSTAR ESTATES GRADING PLANS. 6) A Right-of-way Use Permit is required for any construction in within the right of way. 7) Any walls to be constructed will require a separate grading and building permit. 8) This permit does not authorize the construction of the building pad or building of structures. Any construction shall be authorized by a separate building permit. 9) Submit courtesy copies of any inspection / testing reports to the Engineering Division of Development Services Department. Call DSD Engineering Division (791-5550) for inspection of interim erosion control devices, as well as for special inspections at time of erosion protection retaining wall construction.
