02/04/2009 1/23/09 Re: T08OT01751, 2501 N FLOWING WELLS RD To: Mark September (General Dynamics) This letter has been written per your request to clearly out line what is being asked for by the City of Tucson to continue review of your submittal for 2501 N FLOWING WELLS RD. Floodplain requirements have stopped further processing of your permit until the requested information in comments dated 8/4/08 have been provided. At this time the same comment apply as per comments below dated 8/4/08. Proposed development is located within a City of Tucson identified 100-year floodplain. However, water surface elevations have not been determined. Hydrology Report will be needed in order to establish 100-year water surface elevations. OR Flood proofing of equipment will be required. Provide all appropriate supporting documentation with next submittal. On January 23, 2009 when you came in at the counter a grading plan was shown to me. There was no grading plan number on the plan, so the development plan number was referenced. The reference number is D00-0046. This grading plan has a 100-year floodplain identified on it. However, no water surface elevations have been called out on the sheet shown to me. The grading plan can be utilized if the associated approved drainage report is submitted for review in association with your proposal. If the report demonstrates that the electrical components are one (1) foot above the determined water surface elevation OR it provides the information needed to establish an elevation for installation. Then the City will use that information in place of the requested Hydrology Report requests, if the previous report contains the needed information to complete a floodplain use permit.
