01/17/2008 FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT NO. T07OT01775 ADDRESS: 900 S. Pantano PW. PROPERTY OWNER'S NAME: City of Tucson Parks and Recreation The applicant is authorized to use a portion of the flood hazard area in the City of Tucson on the property described as: PANTANO RIVER PARK, PORTION OF SECTIONAS 16, 17, 20, 21, 27 & 28, T-14-S, R-15-E, G.&S.R.M., for the purpose of installing a river park with restroom facilities, ramadas, pathways, vehicular, benches, drainage related structures including bank protection, parking areas and landscaping, etc (see plans for additional details). The applicant agrees to comply with City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard, and Watercourse Amenities, Safety and Habitat regulations, and are particularly bound by the conditions stated below. Violation of any of the conditions stated or referred to below, as determined by the City Engineer, shall be grounds for revocation of this permit. Responsibility for renewal of this permit, if necessary, is with the applicant. Issuance of this permit does not constitute a waiver of other requirements contained in the Tucson City Code, Land Use Code, or any other Federal, State, or local regulation. No use other than as permitted herein is allowed. Additional uses allowed under City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Regulations and Watercourse Amenities, Safety, and Habitat regulations require the issuance of an additional Floodplain Use Permit. The following conditions shall apply to this permit. 1. All work shall conform to the attached plans, which are made part of this permit. 2. The proposed fill shall be compacted to 95% density, extending only to the extent shown on the attached plan. 3. The existing drainage patterns shall not be obstructed. 4. Proposed work within the 404 jurisdictional areas shall not be carried out until the 404 permit or clearance is granted by the Army Core of Engineers. 5. Proposed utility work, including water and gas lines shall be coordinated with the perspective utility companies. 6. Within 5 (five) days of issuance of this permit, through completion of the project, notification must be posted and maintained in a conspicuous place on the job site stating "Construction proceeding under requirements of City of Tucson Floodplain Use Permit No. T07OT01775 For information please call 791-5550." 7. Except as approved by the City Engineer prior to the start of construction, development under this permit shall not obstruct, retard or divert the existing flow of floodwaters from or to adjacent properties. 8. This permit becomes invalid and is subject to additional floodplain review, if any required development permit (s') changes the configuration of the structure and or site development. This Floodplain Use Permit will be automatically revoked and becomes invalid if conditions set forth in this permit are not complied with. Also, this permit will remain valid during the project construction contract time including extensions.
