APPLICANT: Greta Jane Clausen The applicant is authorized to use a portion of the City of Tucson property described as (legal description): GARDEN HOMES S 223' OF E 52' OF L 9 BLK 7 1. This permit is for construction of a new addition to an existing structure located within a mapped Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) Zone AE as mapped on the Federal Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Panel No. 04019C 1639K, effective 2/8/99. 2. For purposes of this permit, the following elevation requirements apply: Base Flood Elevation (BFE) = 2347.1 feet per the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD '29) Regulatory Flood Elevation (RFE) = 2348.1 feet per the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD '29) The existing structure is in conformance with the City of Tucson Floodplain, Stormwater and Erosion Hazard Management Ordinance (Chapter 26), as verified by the completed Elevation Certificate sealed by an Arizona Registered Land Surveyor dated January 27, 2006, showing that the lowest finished floor is elevated above the RFE. The proposed addition is to have lowest finished floor elevated at or above the Regulatory Flood Elevation (RFE). Service facilities, such as electrical, heating and cooling equipment, shall be constructed at or above the same minimum elevation as the FFE and either be placed on flood proof materials or be adequately flood proofed. For the proposed addition, a Building-Under-Construction Elevation Certificate, completed and certified by an Arizona Registered Land Surveyor, is to be returned to the Engineering Division of the Development Services Department. A hold will be placed on the slab inspection (P2S) until the Elevation Certificate has been returned and approved. A Finished-Construction Elevation Certificate is to be returned to the Engineering Division and approved prior to the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy. 3. Any additional improvements, including block walls, fences or pools, will require a separate Floodplain Use Permit prior to construction. |
