The applicant's property is a 13,020 square foot lot developed with a single-family residence and carport. The applicant proposes to enclose the existing carport to create additional living space and to construct a new carport on the front of the residence and is requesting the following variances: 1) Reduce the setback of the room enclosure and carport from the east lot line from twenty feet (20') feet to eight feet six inches (8'6"), and; 2) Reduce the setback of the carport from the front street lot line from eighteen (18') feet to ten (10') feet, as shown on the submitted plan. DECISION: Variances 1 and 2: Granted subject to the following Conditions: A. Carport not to be enclosed. B. No vehicular parking between the carport and front street lot line.
