The applicants' property is a 9,375 square foot lot developed with an existing single- family residence and carport. The applicants propose to enclose the existing carport to provide additional living space and to construct a new carport on the east side of the dwelling. The applicants are requesting the following variances: 1) Reduce the setback of the new carport to the front street lot line from twenty (20') feet to ten (10') feet; 2) Reduce the setback the new carport to the east lot line from six (6') feet to three (3') feet.
