The applicant's property is an 8,172 square foot lot developed with an existing single-family dwelling. The applicant is requesting the zoning approval necessary to allow a new carport addition to the eastside of the dwelling remain as constructed. The carport addition now sets back a distance of zero (0) feet to the east lot line of the property. The applicant is requesting the following variance; 1) To allow a zero (0) foot setback to the east lot line for the carport (as built) and additional construction of a firewall to be added. DECISION: VARIANCE GRANTED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
1. The carport roof be cut back to a distance of three feet to the property line. 2. A rain gutter be installed for the purposes of directing all water runoff from the carport roof to the west side of the driveway.
