This code has changed periodically, and currently is known to Station 12 units to be 2580*. The lead person for a given house may be tied up with a serious medical situation which requires our immediate response, but also pulls this person away from the front door where we need to gain access inside. This circumstance has led to delayed access to patient care. At any given time, the security code may be changed by staff, thus preventing TFD access. It seems appropriate that this facility function similar to other buildings across the city who grant TFD access via a Knox Box located at the building entrance and is not subject to periodic changes by staff, and doesn't require the lead person to be drawn away from critical patient care prior to our arrival. This will also facilitate rapid response by other station units, as well as individuals unfamiliar with this set of homes due to being on a trade, extra duty, or swing....... 6/15/17: emailed a resolution to the matter and offered to obtain an master/overriding access code , regardless of changes to the employess codes. Robert Larsen has initiated the change. The code is being inputted in the CAD , as 0911*, W.Engelenburg........6/15/19, New code was entered in CAD system, which overrides employee codes.
