| 02/05/2026 | COT - HCBU - TCO | Re-inspection required | Inspection Findings – 2/5/26 During a site visit on February 5, 2026, the following observations were made regarding the Bass Pro project: 1. Building Condition: Shelving, racking systems, furniture, and electronics have been laid out throughout the premises without approval of a TCO Level 1. 2. Life Safety Concerns: o Open electrical boxes, obstructed egress routes, emergency lighting, and panel schedules are not complete. o All life safety items must be addressed prior to issuance of a Level 1 TCO. 3. Personnel on Site: Bass Pro employees were present on-site and were not wearing appropriate PPE for a construction environment. 4. TCO Requirements: o A Level 2 TCO would be required to allow for staffing and training. o The current state of construction does not comply with City of Tucson requirements for issuance of a Level 1 or Level 2 TCO. 5. Separation of Construction and Occupied Areas: o There is no separation between the construction site and employee areas. o Separation must be provided and documented prior to TCO approval. 6. Construction and Egress Requirements: o All construction equipment must be removed from the building. o Egress routes must be accessible and properly landed. o Egress must be provided for all exit doors. o A site plan and egress plan are required prior to approval to document separation and access. 7. Parking: The parking lot is incomplete; designated parking spaces are required prior to Level 2 TCO approval, 8. Approvals Required: Final approval of a Level 2 TCO requires sign-off from the Fire Marshal, Engineering, and Building Inspections. |
