08/27/2024 Consultation SITE Not Ready I arrived on site and met with the contractor to look over the problems that he was having with ADA compliance for this site. The first issue we looked at was the ADA pathway from the ADA parking space and access aisle into the building. It was noncompliant during our last inspection, but has been brought up to our standards at this time. The ADA parking space still remains noncompliant on the eastern most 2 feet of the parking space where it exceeds the maximum 2% allowable cross slopeand running slope.
I met with the contractor on this site to look at the ADA areas that are out of spec and are noncompliant. I have requested them to provide ADA access from Grant Road into the east side of the building so that we can give them a level four temporary certificate of occupancy, I have also reminded them that they need to provide the same type of access from first into the building as soon as possible. They have advised me that this work in both areas will be completed by Friday and we should be able to inspect it at that time for approval.
I have also reminded the contractor that the ADA compliance along the north east side of the building and the north side of the building is noncompliant in most areas and will need to be rectified before the building final is approved for this site. I have advised them to contact , their engineer record and let him figure out what needs to be done to make these areas compliant.
