I told him that that sidewalk had to be cut where John and I discussed. He wants to do some other construction in that area. I told him he needs to have an engineer draw it up and have it reviewed by the city. The new construction work will be done under a different permit.
07/18/2022 TRSP - ROW - Recurring Re-inspection required TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION - Talk to John Dominguez about the removal of the sidewalk. He is going to remove the sidewalk at an agreed location. And then fill in that area with dirt. This will alleviate any pedestrian or wheelchair issues. The striping has been completed. The only few things left is Microsealing needs to be done in the bike lane, the paving needs to be finished to the right of way and the sidewalk on the other side needs to be rehabilitated.
07/13/2022 TRSP - ROW - Recurring Re-inspection required TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION - Area has been re-paved. The striping needs to be rehabilitated. They are building the new sewer manhole. The sidewalks and the ramps are all within specifications. I am concerned about the east end of the sidewalk. I believe they should put a guard rail up. I told the contractor that they need to go back to the designer of this project. I will call the contractor again to see what is going on with this. There is a big drop off right at the edge of sidewalk.
07/06/2022 TRSP - ROW - Recurring Re-inspection required TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION - The East End of the new sidewalk has a drop off at the next property. I told the concrete guys that this had to go back to the designers of the project. They taper down the height of the sidewalk and angled it away from the drop off that’s at the next property. I did tell them they had to go back to the designers for a redesign.

07/05/2022 TRSP - ROW - Recurring Re-inspection required TDOT-EXCAV GENERAL INSPECTION - I did a Forms inspection on the sidewalk and the wheelchair ramps going into the new subdivision. The sidewalks and the ramp are right at 2%.

I told the guys out in the field and I got a call into the owner of the company. The plans call for the pag standards. It was more than 2% from the back of the sidewalk form to the back of curb.

He is going to do the Tee Top patches where the trenches are located and re-pave that section. The areas next to the curb he will re-pave and then microseal the bike line. All of the trenches were well inside of the area milled.

I explained to him working hours, keeping everything ADA for the sidewalk and ramps and the roadway restoration. Dashboard does not show this road under moratorium, but the road is in very good shape. He is going to have one patch and he’s going to mill in between them. I checked with James Castaneda about this road being under moratorium. He says it is not but a micro surface was recently done. I told contractors that I will let them know if this is a moratorium or not. He is going to do his notifications today and start next week. Trafficade is going to do the barricading.
