Thrall Date: 09/07/22 (2nd review) Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC), National Electrical Code 600, Tucson Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018. The following information is needed for permitting process, thank you: 1. Entry monument is allowed per code, thank you: a) Provide 2' separation on each side of sign to entry island face of curb b) Show sign footer c) Show support pole diameter - or if multiple poles, show d) Note how cabinets are connected to pole - i.e. saddles and bolts and where / how many (top / bottom of cabinet) e) Clarify if any site welds needed and note that a special inspection certificate is required f) Revise for Dimensions all in decimal feet, please g) Dimension top view h) Show shut off switch i) Note type of lighting (i.e. LED) j) Note location of dedicated circuit / breaker panel k) Check the number of amps, please l) Note location of time clock m) As this is a hospital campus, and open 24 hours, no curfew is required for sign shut off, but a timer is still required to be installed n) Note that maximum color temperature is 4400k for the illumination o) Show any raised lettering in side view p) Provide a zoomed in site plan showing the setback for this sign from where the curb line would be if Wilmot curb was continued north / south of the intersection, minimum setback from that point is 20'. q) Provide sight visibility triangle from the south side of the intersection at 345 x 20' deep along Wilmot. The 20' depth can be taken from the bike lane into the site. r) Provide a sight visibility triangle from the north side of the intersection along Wilmot at a 20 x 30' depth for pedestrians (as this is a one way north bound and center median street) 2. All other on site monument and directional type signs / all more than 30' from any road or street, are all on private property driveways and are thus interior site signs for use of on site way finding: a. Just note the size of the footer b. Note the size of the support pipe c. Note install with the bolt size / number and number of saddle connections from cabinet to pole d. Note no -onsite welds e. Dimension top view f. Provide all dimensions in decimal feet g. Note how each cabinet form is connected to the support pole (i.e. any thru bolts / sag bars, etc.) h. Provide note that each sign will be 2' from any driveway i. Provide note that each sign will be 18" from any parking space j. Provide note that each sign will be 5' from any fire hydrant k. Provide note that ALL signs will be outside of any easements 3. Garage sign - A) Add mounting information please - how mounted to garage?
