Codes: Unified Development Code 7A. Sign Standards (UDC), National Electrical Code (NEC), Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018
1) UDC:
A) on the provided development plan sheet, note the street frontage along Kolb Road is 115' (north lot line south to the back of the handicapped accessible parking space at the south end of the premise. This frontage dimension is used for calculating the total allowed sign area of building signs (menu boards not included in sign area). Sufficient sign area allowance for building signs, and signs are within size range.
2) NEC:
A) provide safety lockouts where all disconnect switches are not visible from the sign
B) Note location of dedicated circuit / breaker panel for inspections
3) OLC:
A) all sign timers shall be set to a curfew time of midnight - note on plan
B) note location of the timer for inspections
4) IBC:
A) note attachment method - specify the size / type of hardware from wall to sign letters and from wall to raceway
B) A-325 hi strength bolts require special inspection - fill out special inspection form, have engineer stamp and return with the name of the qualified special inspector: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/Special_inspection_certificate.pdf
C) on menu board elevation view, please label top plate position and bottom plate position - is the support pipe is shown off center from plates… clarify / fix
