01/20/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1219 PM - Responded to property due to a citizen complaint about the fence around property being breached and squatters inside property. Arrived and found fence unsecured and cut. Did not observe any occupants on property. I resecured fence with chain and a padlock. Called and spoke to owner. -VM
01/23/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 103 PM - Responded to property due to another citizen complaint about fencing being breached. All fence panels are intact and no wire has been cut. Did identify an approximately 1.5 ft opening between the temporary fence and the rear fence which could be used to gain access to the property. Will need to have that portion secured. Posted front and side fences with keep vacant placards. -VM
01/26/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 107 PM - On property with owner and agent to view condition of the interior of the structure. Property remains secure at time of departure and there were no occupants on site at time of arrival. -VM

Did wait on site for contractor Biff Baker who did arrive and was able to re-secure the rear fence opening. There was nobody on site at 805 AM when I arrived and no breaches to the fence. -VM
01/27/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 141 PM - On site with owner. Significant progress has been made to the removal of trash, debris, and weeds. Very small amounts of weeds remain in the east side yard. Some small amounts of trash and debris to include 7 shopping carts remain in the rear yard. Resecured City padlocks on fence. Fence and property was secure as of 202 PM. -VM
01/27/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 900 AM - Met on site with owner/agent to unlock City padlocks on fence & provide access for owner to clean up property. -VM
01/13/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1249 PM - Code enforcement received a call stating there were active squatters on property. I visited site and was able to view the rear yard of property with permission of a neighboring property owner. Did yell out and ID myself multiple times. Did not observe any individuals at this time in the front or rear yards. There has been no progress made to the trash and debris and there is now additional items on the front porch. The AC unit on the roof appears to be tampered with and there is an open electrical box. Neighbor states they heard a loud noise last night coming from this property and when he turned his lights on people scurried off the property. Owner has been sent a 60 day rehab or demo notice for the condemned structure. Will continue to monitor. Called and spoke to owner of property. -VM
01/31/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1254 PM - Arrived to property to unlock City padlocks for owner. Upon arrival all gates/fences were still secure. Did unlock City padlocks and provide access to property for Owner. -VM
01/31/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 324 PM - Met with owner on site. No accumulations of weeds or grass over 6 inches remain on property. No accumulations of trash or debris remain on property. Violations regarding weeds, trash and debris, and outdoor storage have been resolved at this time. I did re-secure the gates with City padlocks and property was secure upon my departure at 4:00 PM. -VM
01/31/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 925 AM - Responded to property due to citizen call stating fence is unsecure. I checked all portions of the fence & there are no breaches into the fence. Did not observe any persons on the property at this time. -VM

02/10/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1253 PM - Checked fence to ensure it is secure due to citizen call about a possible breach. The City's chain link fence is secure at this time. The fence on the neighboring parcel to the west is not securely mounted. No action taken as the fence surrounding 3536 is secure at this time. -VM
02/17/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 254 PM - Responded to site to check security of fence while in the area. TPD had previously found fence to be secure. I also found fence to be secure. Did observe two areas that may have been previously tampered with to allow access to the property. I secured one with a chain and padlock and secured the other with fence wire. Did not observe any individuals on site, however there is a bicycle in the front yard which was not previously in the yard, which may be a sign of individuals still continuing to access the property. -VM
03/01/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 251 PM - Responded to property due to citizen contact requesting a check of the fence. Citizen reports state fence continues to be breached, items are being left in, moved, and taken from within the fenced off yard. Upon arrival, the bicycle observed during my last inspection was not on site at this time. I did locate one area where the fence wire had been cut to possibly provide access at that point. I re-secured this breach with fence wire. -VM

06/13/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 1030 AM - Hearing was held, defendant was present. Exhibits 1 through 6 were admitted, and City made the case that the structure is a nuisance to the community and that the City is seeking abatement by demolition. Multiple neighbors, members of the community, and Tucson Police Department were present and called upon as witnesses, and did testify to the issues this property has continued to inflict upon the surrounding community. Defendant asks for a continuance to abate the violations. Judge took the case under advisement at this time. -VM
