Did meet with the owner of the business and did an inspection with his approval. The owner was with us as doing the inspection and answered all questioned when asked about issues or where something was. The C of O was lacking when checking permits plus and has one posted and being checked with permits plus. Has a opening cut into the wall to enter the unit next door and are combined as one buisness.The area is being used as a dance floor. Again no permit found for the opening cut into the wall. Has a DJ booth and has a hookah and the wooden floor has burning where has no protection for opened sparks going onto the floor from the hookah when being used in the DJ booth. Lacking GFCI outlets in the bathrooms and has outlets in the lights in the bathrooms and not GFCI protected. Has no bathroom for the Handi-cap due to lacking grab bars at the toilet area. The main electrical panels are not labeled property, has the rear doors blocked with a accordian panels and the doors are lacking panic devises. Has a electrical box added in the front and not supported properly, has a electric water heater and has items stored against the water heater, Has ceiling tiles that are broken or missing on the drop ceiling. The room where the water heater is located was for washer and dryer and has been converted to a room for prepping the hookahs. The door in the 3728 at the front is locked and have to open the locks to exit. Exit signs are missing and have outlets that are lacking cover plates or are broken. The C of O appears to have been made and not matching the C of O that the City of Tucson issues. The permit number comes to another address for solar panels in 2015. Tucson Fire Inspector was on site and also did an inspection. One of the rear doors is bolted shut and has angle iron holding the door closed. Did let the owner of the buisness know that a permit is required for the C of O and will need a floor plan on what the layout of the buisness as is at this time. Did go over the opening in the wall that was cut may have been a fire wall and that will need to be check when getting the permit. The owner did sign the paperwork and given the copies. The paperwork was done in the owner of the property name and will be doing a N.O.V. and mailed to the owner who lives out of state. The business was secured when leaving the site by the owner. Did do the posting on the front door areas on both units. RV. |
