06/14/2022 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial VIDAL Approved Entered by VIDAL - The office called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units still have an active fire. Did let T.F.D. know that the gas and electric have been removed. SWG did the survey and did pass. The gas was removed for the neighbors property and that was turned back on. T.E.P. did remove the meter from next door and will be requesting that the meter be placed on the rear of this unit and not to remain next door. The water is off at the meter in the front of the house. The fire was in the rear yard where some clothing was piled against the wall of the house and the storage room. The metal awning has been removed, the wood frame porch with a room has also be removed as a total lost. The fire got into the house by the rear bedroom and the dinning and kitchen area where some of the contents have burned or have smoke damage. The water heater and the dryer are burned and need to be removed. The sliding glass door and the window have meltted. The rear overhang has some of the rafter and plywood that has burned or is charred. Did cover the window with plywood and not able to get to the sliding glass door. The front door was pinned shut and the plywood was pinned to the door opening. All the other window are still secured at this time. The rear of the property has trash and debris from the fire and the homeless bringing items to the property. Once the property was secured on the house, did place a temp. fence on the front and rear of the house. The interior of the house is still cluttered. Will do the N.O.V. with estimated cost to have the property cleaned. RV.
