08/12/2022 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | I HAVE VISITED THE SITE SEVERAL TIMES,THE 1ST TIME I WALKED THE BUILDING AND DID FIND NEW BRICK PAVERS SURROUNDED BOTH STRUCTURES BUT NOT A PERMITING ISSUE. I CHECKED PERMITS PLUS AND FOUND THAT IN 2012 THERE WAS A ELEVATION CERTIFICATE PROVIDED TO THE PRESENT OWNER AND FINALED. I WALKED THE STRUCTURE TO DETERMINE IF THERE WERE ADDITIONS, I FOLLOWED UP WITH PERMITS PLUS AND CHECKED EVERY AERIAL ELEVATION AND FOUND THAT THE ROOF SECTIONS AND FOOT PRINT MATCHED FROM 1998 TO PRESENT 2022, THERE WERE NO ADDITIONS, STUCCO ON BOTH BUILDINGS MATCHED AND THERE WAS SIDING AT THE REAR OF BOTH BUILDINGS. I DID FIND A OLD ELECTRICAL SERVICE PANEL IN THE BACK YARD ON THE GROUND AND FOUND THERE WAS A PERMIT FOR A NEW SERVICE UPGRADE AND ELECTRIC FROM OVERHEAD TO UNDERGROUND. I WAS UNABLE TO LOOK INSIDE THE BUILDINGS AND THE UNITS APPEARED TO BE VACANT. I CONTACTED DSD SUPERVISOR ERNIE STEVENS AND QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT REPLACING SIDING AND WOULD THAT REQUIRE A INSPECTION, ERNIE STATED THEY WERE NOT REQUIRING A INSPECTION FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE SIDING. I CONTACTED THE OWNER, WHO STATED HE HAS OWNED THE PROPERTY FOR TEN OR ELEVEN YEARS, THEY ARE RENTALS FOR HIM NORMALLY RENTED OUT TO U OF A STUDENTS, THEY ARE CURRENTLY EMPTY BUT HAVE LEASES FOR THE 3 UNITS WHEN STUDENTS MOVE IN IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. HE STATED THAT EVERY YEAR AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR HE ALWAYS HAS PAINTING AND MINOR REPAIR ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED PLUS ALOT OF TIMES CLEARING OUT THE UNITS. C/E HAS NO ISSUES AT THIS TIME. |
