Entered by VIDAL - The office called that T.F.D. on site with a hotel fire. Arrived and the units were clearing and T.F.D. had checked for hot spots and found none. The fire was a device being built to duplicate game cards. The device was on the desk was burned and the fire carried to the chair in the area of the desk. There was no structual damage to the unit and has smoke damage to the unit where the fire was contained to the this unit and has no other damage to the other units with the fire. The sprinkler head over the desk did go off and flooded the unit and went into the hallway and 4-other rooms on the second floor. The fire was on the second floor and the water was dripping to the first floor in the area of the lobby, eating area and the office. The laundry room has water dripping from the celing and the lights started to sag due to the fasterners were coming through the wet drywall. The lights were removed from the laundry room and will be re-done once the ceiling is dried out and the drywall patched. The electrical was turned off at the panels through out the property and T.E.P. left the power on due to the complex was calling an electrician to have the panels that were wet and dripping water in the laundry room area. The third floor electrical was turned back on due to no water was in the area. The second floor has the electrical turned back on except unit 203 where the fire was and the sprinkler went off. A company showed to the property to have the water extracted on the second floor and the first floor. They met with the owners of the property and the agency that was using the units to stay on the property and the company started to remove carpeting, covebase board in the hallway and the rooms. Some drywall was being removed to dry the inner wall space where moisture was being monitored for moisture. Blowers were placed in 4-rooms where the carpet was wet. Rooms #201, #202, #203, #204. The lobby is dripping water and will be closed until checked tomorrow. The laundry room has 4-electrical panels and those were left off until checked by a electrical contractor. At 5:30 a electrical contractor showed and the interior of the panels were wet and was in the process of drying the panels and the breakers. The sprinkler head was replaced and the system was back on line. The fire panel was not working at this time due to lacking power and the back up batteries were not charged and needed to be replaced. The company working on the sprinkler head took pictures and will check on getting parts once the electrical is back on. Had trouble getting the gas back on due to the Tech left the site. Called the main office and had to talk to a supervisor to have a Tech sent back and the gas was turned back on. The gas was left off at the gas valves due to was lacking the electrical to the water heaters, the dryers and the heaters to the pool area. Pima County had buses move the tenants they had to another hotel due to was still working on what is going to be done to the looby. The owner of the property was on site and signed the paperwork and posted Do Not Enter on the doors of the 4-room affected with the water damage and the lobby area with the office. Will check the ceiling in the lobby tomorrow on other damage and the electrical on drying the panels and the breakers.
